There is a pretty nice yellow ford falcon for sale on ebay. It will look a little familiar.

One of these days I will explain why. I doubt it will sell since the reserve is pretty high. Not high enough to get my money back. But still high. Larry

imitation the most sincere form of flattery

Oh wait, that IS yours:ROTFLMAO:

Good luck with the sale - someone would be happy to get such a fine bird where the work is flawless and complete.

Hopefully you can hold the passing of the title until after the Mini-regional.

Larry - this is a bit shocking. :WHATTHE: But even I have debated selling my wagon, which surprised even me.

Hope it, you and Carol will make it to the mini-regional, though you have some pretty decent interest for it when I looked at the auction. It might sell before then. :(

This is cause for an instant life-time ban from eBay if they caught wind of it. Probably not a good idea.

Carol and I are both doing great. The reason for trying to sell the car? I guess the best way to say it, is spiritually motivated. This isn't the best place to share this, I would love to sit down with everyone and tell them why. Maybe one day I will get the chance.
I don't expect the car to sell since my reserve is pretty high. Not as much as I have into the car, but anyone who spends this much shouldn't expect it to be an investment. It was a fun car to build, even more fun to drive. Best part is meeting all the great members of this club. Even if the car sells, I will be at the mini-meet.
Sorry I couldn't be at the meeting tonight. Couldn't miss prayer meeting at my church. God Bless, see you all soon. Larry

Larry,

I for one would never object, as some might, with someone coming forward and saying their move - one direction or another - as being spiritually motivated. To me a persons' passion is what should motivate them and we, as your friends first, should support you in that.

Though I'm not about to read into what you're spiritual motivation might be, I've personally struggled with the whole "where your treasure is, there your heart will be also" aspect of collector cars and how that "fits" in a culture, or passion, that says there are needs I could be meeting of much higher value with the monies I've invested in this piece of steel. It is a true struggle, and should be. But everything is a balancing act. Never should be black and white when all we can see is through a "glass darkly." I feel there is something intrinsically good about maintaining a piece of history.

Most of my passion has been rooted in the perspective I'm not my own and I should be using my talents, which happen to be more mechanical in nature, to help others and bring back to life (AKA resurrect) things that are in need of it. Though I've wanted that to be my witness to those I help, first, sadly it is often taken advantage of, or I find myself on the outs with someone (as I've seen even within this club) when all I was doing was trying to help. I have more than once found myself looking back at myself, saying, "How the heck did I get here from there?"

Anyway, as the years roll on and the older I get - the more I find "this car thing" has taken more from me than I get [credit for] from it. I'm not about to hold back the talents I've been blessed with, but at the same time a part of me is feeling, of late, the need to pull away and focus on some other things while I still can. Where that will go, I'm not sure yet, but I'm just here saying to you - do what you are called to do, wherever that call may be coming from.

Hope to see you and the car at the mini. [thumb]

Roger, thanks so much for the note. You know how much I respect your knowledge and abilities. What is more important though, is your total desire to help others.
I have mentioned many times on this site of my thanks for having you as a friend and tireless helper to us all.
I have mentioned my fear that you would get burned out by these tireless efforts. Let it suffice, that I, and all the others here tremendously appreciate you in every way. You are the glue that keeps it together and we all know that. Thanks from the bottom of my heart for YOU, and my other Falcon brothers and sisters. Instead of trying to get all my information down here I will attach a couple of notes that I have sent out to my family and friends. Hopefully, you won't think me insane or a religious fanatic. More to come. Larry

Thanks Larry for the kind words. Sad to say, my tireless "is" getting tired though...

As for your postings, I say this is your thread - post away. It doesn't matter what people think of your reasoning. It's only you you have to answer for. It may offend some, it may uplift others. The seed falls where it falls.

For many years I have called my self a Christian, but admit, there may not have been enough evidence, if brought to a trial to be able to convict me of being one.
My healing that I received from God last November of diseases that affected me for almost 10 years ago made me realize what Christ is about. If you google the maladies "Trigeminal Neuralgia" and "Cluster Headaches" you will see what I was going through with episodes that lasted several hours with up to 6-7 episodes a day.
Both of these diseases are called suicide diseases due to the high number of people who succumb to the pain and or results of taking so many pain medications.
What I went through doesn't compare to what my dearest darling had to handle.
She could never let me out of her sight. Several times I tore the flesh off the backs of my hands and side of my face. I would loose all cognizance of where I was, what I was doing and even what year we were in. The word pain, doesn't describe it. I have broken most of the bones in my body, been shot, almost lost my leg, broke my neck, suffered from pleurisy, etc. Nothing prepares a person for this, and no amount of medication takes the pain away.

All that is history, thanks to God's healing me.

Now to the crux of the note.

A few months ago. I came across a book called "The Harbinger" by Jonathan Cahn. He is a Jewish "Christian" Rabbi.

That book deals with God's dealing with Israel's past transgressions of falling away from God, but primarily showing the correlation between the United States and Israel. Both nations were established primarily to serve and follow God's laws and teachings.

I won't go further into this without saying you need to read the book "The Harbinger" The harbingers are 9 warnings that happened to Israel around 732 BC. The same 9 harbingers have been manifested in America starting at 9-11-2001 and through following years.

If you know the Bible. You know the story of the 7th day being sacred as a day of rest. God also made the 7th year sacred to the Jewish people. It was a year of rest, no sowing, reaping, financial debts were eliminated and more.
That seventh year was called "Shemitah" and ended on the last day of the month of Elul on the Jewish calendar. Elul 29 was the final day to wipe away all financial dealings.

In the book of Isaiah 9:10 the verse was quoted by the Jewish leaders in response to the terrorist Assyrians invading their land. Assyria was in present day Iraq. They tore down Israel's walls and uprooted the trees. They didn't fully destroy Israel. It was a "Breach" allowed by God to get them to turn back to God. The Jewish people had fallen so far away. They were worshipping false God's and sacrificing their children on the altars of Baal and Molech.

Instead of turning back to God, they rebelled stating to God, the verse in Isaiah. " The bricks have fallen, but we will rebuild with hewn stone. The sycamores have fallen but we will replant with cedars". In other words, we don't need God, we will do it with our own hands.

The other 8 harbingers were then manifested and ended with the Jewish nation and temple being completely destroyed. They were removed from the country and taken to Babylon.
God, had said, if they don't let the land rest as required by the Shemitah, then they would be removed and then the ground could rest. And, so the ground did get to rest.

Now comes America. Jonathan's church is just across the river from New York. While he watched 9/11 God told him he was going to be shown all these things as they affected America. A vision I guess you would call it.

The book shows that all nine harbingers have occurred to us.

1st harbinger. "The Breach" 9/11. God took away our protection and allowed the breach of our defenses.

2nd harbinger. "The Terrorist" The same people who attacked Israel attacked us. Using the same Arabic Language.

3rd harbinger. " The Fallen Bricks" The towers fell.

4th harbinger. "The Tower" The towers were established as a symbol of our being the world leaders economically.

Read the book. It isn't a Nostradamus type of writing. I promise, you will be amazed, scared and hopefully it will show where and what is getting ready to happen.

As just a sample of what occurred and when. On 9/11 you will remember that Wall Street shut down for 6 days? Well on the 7th day Wall Street reopened and it was at that time the largest one day loss in American History. The Day???
The last day of the 7th year, Elul 29, the last day of the Shemitah. The wiping away of economies. 7% of our economy was wiped away.

Then, another shaking, go ahead 7 more years, to the end of the next Shemitah. That is September 29th of 2008. On that day, the last day of the 7th year, the last day of the Shemitah, on Elul 29, at exactly 4 PM again, as Wall Street closed, we had the largest loss again, 777.7 points on the exchange. Coincidence???? 7th year, 7% loss again, 777.7 points??

Now. If you follow along another 7 years, you get to September 23rd of 2015. Yes, this year. There is nothing saying that another shaking has to occur. But, I am going to prepare. Many believe, just read the news, that a huge catastrophic financial event is getting ready to occur. God will not be put into a box, so when dates are foretold, he can choose to totally change the outcome.

Read the book. If you want a copy, let me know, I have a few left. If some of you want to talk. Let me know. Larry

Hello, Larry.

It is good to hear that you are feeling better.

I am working on a fully on-line master's degree in health promotion through Florida Atlantic University (long story).

Anyway, I have to do a research paper (this weekend!) consisting of ten one-page summaries of ten recent peer-reviewed articles on a health topic. I was initially going to choose autism as my topic, but after reading about your situation I decided instead to study cluster headache.

I had never heard of cluster headache before, but I should be a bit more knowledgeable about it by this coming Monday.

Dennis.

Dennis, very good luck with your research paper. Before you decide on the subject take a look at Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN) also. Mine was diagnosed as A-Typical T N. This was due to the high number of episodes I encountered over a long period of time. TN can sometimes be corrected by surgery but it was recommended that I not go that route, since success with A-Typ was not common and sometimes led to even greater issues with the nerves.
I communicated over the years on several websites with patients who suffered from Clusters and never found one person who found relief. Some had temporary time frames of no pain, but usually only a few days.
I started going to Living Waters Faith Center in Marysville about 1 1/2 years ago and even though I was going to Church regularly and getting prayers constantly, I still had the problems. One night at prayer meeting my pastors daughter prayed for me and later that night I told my wife that all the pressure in my head went away. That was last November and I haven't suffered any Cluster or TN episodes since that evening.

While you are doing your research, please take the time, to realize how good God is. Don't get me wrong. Doctors and Nurses are fantastic gifts from God, but I'll take the one true healer.

Thanks for the note and again good luck. Larry

Hello, Larry,

I just uploaded my report. Please see attached the abstract. Please know that you have my moral support and prayers on your behalf.

Dennis.

Abstract
This paper summarizes the findings of ten peer-reviewed journal articles that discuss the prevalence of trigeminal neuralgia (TN) and its significance as a public health issue. TN is a debilitating chronic condition that creates frequent attacks of severe facial pain and it is one of the most common forms of neuralgias that afflict older adults. The incidence of the condition peaks between ages 50 and 70. TN is one of most painful conditions known to medical science and is known as a “suicide disease”. People afflicted with TN will often kill themselves rather than endure further agony. The pain of the condition can sometimes be partially managed with drugs and surgery may be attempted if the drugs are not effective or become ineffective. TN can be caused by a blood vessel pressing on the trigeminal nerve. Patients sometimes have a remission if the offending blood vessel is located and surgically repositioned. A permanent correction cannot be guaranteed. TN is typically diagnosed through a process of elimination of other possible causes such as toothache, sinus inflammation, or tumors. This takes time and involves a frustrating series of visits by the patient to various specialists.
