hey guys. just thought i would try this out. my names tyler. planning on becoming a paid chapter member. ill be getting a 62 ranchero with a brand spanking new rebuilt 200 straight 6, speaking of which the break in oil change is approaching. tranny is going to the shop tomorrow, and hopefully it will be back in before my 18th birthday when i officially get the car. a little about me, i love cars. i love ford. i spend half of my day at sno isle technical school in a welding and fabrication shop so i get access to tig, mig dual shield and arc plus cnc plasma table. the rest of my day i spend at highschool finishing up my senior year. now a little about the car. it has a 1v holley, its a 200ci. was rebuilt 300 or so miles ago but the tranny went.. its white. the paint is chipping and getting a little old. needs headliner but other then that its almost completely stock. the original speaker and am radio still work. theres a small dent in the dash and the paint is chipping there a bit to. hope to meet some of you guys in person soon.

Tyler, good to see some young blood interested in our old cars. I too, have a Ranchero, although it is a '65. I've been a Ranchero fan for many years (this is my 4th). It is also the 1st attempt at restoral/mod'ing. I hope to have mine on the road this spring after some cancer repair and a fresh paint job. I am retired, live in Everett, and if you want to double up for a ride to the next meeting, give me a shout. We can prob'y work something out. By the way, you asked about paint for your Ranchero, mine ended up as my favorite paint: base white with a blue pearl applied over that. Kinda subtle, but I'm not a flashy type person, and the Ranchero will stand out all by itself. Mine was originally Wimbledon White.
