convertible top latch screws

Hi read on line that your forum offered great TEC advice so I joined, because I need help. Been restoring a 1964 Falcon convertible for the past ten years on a off. Have reached the last part the convertible top. Had to have some metal replaced on the front windshield bow do to rust rot. Installed it the made the adjustments when installing the latches I discovered the screws had gone missing. A visit to the hardware store was of no avail nothing they had fit. Can some one tell what screws size Ford used to secure the latches? Can not tell if they are machine/coarse/standard/metric or a Ford unique part and how long they need to be etc. Right now I am at a ten year dead end. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
