shift lever questions
I am putting a C4 behind the 289 that replaced the 200 in the Ranchero. I was told by someone at Dearborn Classics that I would need a column shift control selector insert and that they were no longer being reproduced. Does anyone know where I can get a hold of one of these? Or is this a part that can be machined? Or what my other options, if any, would be?
As always, any and all help is appreciated.

Have you checked with the other vendors?
Falcon parts? Mac's? autokrafters?
Were they talking about the detent plate? you can modify the two speed one with a little careful filing..
Or
were they talking about the lense that goes on the shifter collar?

Thanks Nathan,
I made the mistake of assuming when talking to Dearborn. Should of done some digging.

Yup. You just need those two parts for the column. You'll also need to make sure the tranny is set up for column. The shift lever should point down.
