AOD cross member

I had a AOD installed in my car last year. The guy that installed it butchered it.The speedo cable mount was to close to the upper cross member. He cut and welded the cross member so as to lower the trans so the speedo cable would clear the floor . I blocked off the trans cable hole and installed a GPS speedo.I want to replace the cross member. Will the Aod conversion cross member for the 65 Mustang fit my 65 Falcon with my AOD trans? NPD list a cross member to convert the 65 Mustang to a AOD.I have a shop that will custom build me a cross member but it will cost me twice as much as one premade at NPD.Roger
