Is there anything done to it besides the paint scheme? Do you know what the drive train is?
Pretty cool that someone kept this humble car, especially compared to the Shelbys it catered to!
I suspect that it is stock. I'm not sure. Maybe a 260?
I read about this car somewhere. As I recall, it was purchased by Peter Brock as a parts runner for Shelby American. It was a 260, but the crew was amazed with how similar it was to the Mustang, and rodders being rodders, ended up giving it the full GT350 treatment, same blue stripes and same Hi-Po 289 motor and 4-speed.
Brock eventually used it as a tow car for his Datsun race cars in the early '70's.
Hmmmm; Shelby Sedan Delivery???? Now there is a thought..:shift:
There is a clone of that car down here in Southern Oregon. It was on a classic car lot for sale for a while but now the guy uses it as a shop car and rolling billboard for his car lot.
