    Brakes

When I was in Reno I was a little concerned that my brakes were not stopping me as well as I thought they should. Especially at 90 mph. With the additional disc brakes on the front and new rear drum brakes I guess I was expecting more. So, I think it is probably how I have the proportioning valve set up.

The valve knob that states which direction to turn for more has me confused. Which isn't hard to do. Can someone explain to me how that system works and maybe some insight on how to correctly set mine up? Thanks Badbird

    Dial-In:

If the rears are getting full line pressure it will cause the rears to lock much before the fronts. Test the car on short hops, preferably on some loose surface (so they'll lock more easily and not flat spot your tires), and back the adjuster knob out one turn at a time at first, and then by half turns, until the rears lock just after the fronts do.
