Hey, all! We'll be looking at a '63 Falcon and take in as next project. Got to gain as much knowledge and just glad to found this community. I'll be reading around

Welcome. Do you currently have a Falcon?

Thank you for the welcome. Scott, I don't have one yet, we'll take a look at that '63 hopefully next week. Beerbelly that looks a nice one.

Thank you, sir. I personally prefer v8 round body.

Probably, just not sure yet until we got a chance to see.

The six cylinder cars are easily converted to V8. The 63 1/2 came with a 260CID. Not common. Most people find newer 302s and drop them in. They look the same. If you want something to keep completely stock then search for an unmolested 63 1/2 Falcon Sprint with a 4 speed.

Good luck with your project and welcome.

Also, I discovered all 63.5 Hardtops have torque-boxes even when they came with a 6 cylinder. That's good. So you can swap to an 8 using all 1965 V8 suspension parts (except for leaf springs). Just beware a V8 car to make sure all wheels are 5-lug.

Saw a 63 2 door for sale at the Old Steel car show in Yakima this morning. 170 6 cyl, manual transmission. New windshield and upholstery is nice. Reportedly everything works. Will need a paint job for sure. Send me a private message if you want the phone number of the seller.
