Question 65 Falcon - Ranchero Trans Options

We got a letter from a 65 Falcon Ranchero owner in Austria-Europe and he
wants to know if the c-4 was an option for that vehicle as the trans
bracket is not correct for the reinforcement in the floor pan. Seems
like I've heard of this problem before and wonder if any of the forum members here can shed some light on this problem for us.

Thanks In Advance for any help!

    DB,

see the thread above about trans mounts for more info. Yes, '65 was the only year the "early" falcons came with a C-4, but that mounting bracket was different than any other Ford models at the time (with the possible exception of comets) and will not work with a C-4 that did not originally come from the factory in a '65 falcon. There are aftermarket mounts that are much sturdier than the original unit, and will mount any c-4 in any post '61 Falcon.
