    Tech day part 3

Ok I think all the parts are ready. So we are planning tech day part 3 for this Saturday the 18th. We have Gina's engine swap to finish and I'm sure I can find some things to do on the delivery. If you need any help with your project let me know and we will see if we have the man power to get it all done. Thanks and hope to see you there.

Even if you want to watch come in out.

I'm still planning on being there. Hope we can do some car-pooling.

I spoke with Roger and he said he got the parts back from the machine shop so he is planning on coming. Not sure what his time table is. Probably usual leave time but return time might be questionable. I think we want to finish Gina's car all the way this time.

    Hey all -

Yes, I picked up the head from Action Machine yesterday and it's all ready to go. As I just indicated to Gina via email the head needed new guides, exhaust seats and had a crack repair on the exhaust flange side of things. New positive seal valve seals were also installed. Cost was just shy of a $500 bill. But it looks very good with all sides surfaced and ready to go.

I've still got to decide about the carburetor I'll bring to replace the one she had (Holley 1940). It'll be an Autolite 1100 in any case, but may be the one from off my wagon, and I'll put the Weber from the Ranchero and do the Duraspark II conversion and give her my current Pertronix setup. Should make the car run really good on the initial start. We're not breaking-in a cam, so that's one less stress.

Unfortunately there will be some amount of 'hurry up and wait' by some of you as I finish assembling the motor, but that time can be spent cleaning up the parts needing to be reinstalled as well as helping Steve with any ditties he has need for. His generosity is very much appreciated, so let's not neglect anything he needs help with!

Of course I will drive out and and anyone willing to stay with me the entire time is welcome to ride along (up to 4 of us). If you need to leave at your own time, then plan the trip out on your own. I can't guarantee a departure time at the end of the day, but I will be trying for the 7:50AM Edmonds ferry, as usual, to get to Steve's around the 9AM time.

I know it is a long trek to Sequim, but I'm hoping we can get a couple more members out there and get this job done for Gina. But if not, we'll get 'er done even if it takes longer.

Come on over Bill you can see the delivery live in person again. And trust me she don't look the same as she use to.
You can car pool with Roger I think he still has room. Touch base with him for his exact schedule. If you flying solo we're hitting the shop around 9ish.
Hope to see a few more too I'm sure we can find plenty to do.

Guys, just keep in mind that riding with me means coming back with me, when I can come back. Otherwise it will be via:
