Thread: Cleaning up Vikingblu

  1. #31
Have yet to start a search. Not really thinking about it this year. I only know from looking for 13"rs when I was shopping for the '62 Comet; the one Gina now has. Ended up going black-wall in the end.

I know there is also Coker tire, but not really sure I want to pay the premium pricing once I go there. My current tires look brand-spanking new. Even have a spare with zero miles on it. They were bought new in '97 or so and have long since expired their 10-year safety lifespan. I suspect if I have issues with one; puncture or something; no tire shop will touch them after 10 years. Maybe Guido's tire shop will. No offence to Guido.

    Exhaust manifold

Got a new exhaust manifold. Match ported it to the gasket. Ran it over a flat table belt sander to insure the ports were flat.
Removed all the bolts and studs with NO issues, yay.
    Sounds good, no leaks.

    yes Roger.

    Drove nice around the block.
Now on to the original issue.....the radiator.
    Scott Drake $250
    Fluidyne $525
Im a bit hesitant to have a radiator shipped. may just have the OG recored and soldered at Kens Radiator in Mount Vernon.
I had them rebuild the rad for my 64 Datsun NL320. Very Nice work.

    Brrrr

Thanks Roger. Yes it is a bit chilly. But the heater works! And I like to take advantage of nice weather when we have it. Not much sand on the roads yet.
