Does anyone have any tips on removing the old shock tower braces? I was planning to cover the engine with blankets and taking a saws-all to it. How easy is it to drill out the spot welds at the cowl?

I did it, and like you said drill spot welds [ not easy or fun ] roger made me a nice drill bit and it worked great [ thanks roger ] then I cut them with a sawzall to move them up and down to break them loose. have picts will find and post....john

Patrick, who's brace are you going to use? mine is a tcp . I added 1/2'" to the lip on the firewall so the bolts would have more meat around them.some bondo and it's good to go, need to repaint though...jh
