He said he was offering it for $2900.. Possibly he'd take less.
If it's running, take it apart and see why.

I think if I was going to try and buy this one, I would start in the $2000-$2200 range. The seller said he had $2900 into the car. The biggest issue I thought was the wiring. Lots of it hanging under the dash?? Bunch of it in the engine bay as well.. Cross member was a little goofy?? But a real solid and straight car.
I am sure it will find a good home, my wife already said NO!!!!!

    Yep my wife said no.
So I passed it on to a friend. My friend offered $2500 and the seller said no.
He ain't budging from the $2900. Too bad.
I see he reposted it on cl with pisctures this time so it might actually sell.
I decided to put the money into my 63 and some into the 61. The rest went to paying down my truck. Going to have student loans to repay soon. So the fewer bills the better.

So, that means the 260 project will go forward faster?
I'm watching that one with great interest, as I'm looking to do a T-5 and V-8 to the '63 pretty soon.

Shh don't tell the c.f.o. but I'm planning on spending a little here and a little there and hopefully I'll have the 260 finished by late summer.
The plan is to stick the 260 in the 61 that already has the t5..
Not sure how well a svo t5 will hold up behind the extra torque but I'll just take it easy.

So if anyone wants to help my science expierment along please contribute parts and a generous discount when I ask for help.

I know I'll be needing a set of v8 motor mounts, intake, small cfm 4 brl carb, oil pan, timing cover, distributor, the list goes on...
I'm trying to hit up swap meets junkyards cl and ebay for as much as possible.
I might have gotten the pistons I need so I'll be able to make some progress soon.

Not sure if I mentioned by 260 build here or not but I'm building a stroked 260.

I think I read that in TFFN. Sounds like a hoot.
Seems like a world-class T-5 should work for me -
I'm not going to drag race or anything. I was thinking a bell
housing might be hard to come by.

Lost the ebay auction for the pistons.
I forgot the auction ended Saturday morning and went to the junkyard instead of sitting behind a computer.
The junkyard did have a 63 falcon in it. So I yanked the clutch stuff including the pedal assembly.

If anyone needs a passenger fender or back doors this car had them.
There was also a 65 fairlane with a 289 and a c4. The motor was complete carb to pan. Fan to rear if anyone is looking to swap a 6 to an 8 this car.

I have one five bolt bell for the 260 in either the sprint or the stroker motor for the futura.
I want two. I plan on swapping the sprint from 2sp auto to 5sp manual.
