If someone like art brass or another chrome shop straitens a bumper do they have measurement they go by or just a good old eye? I think I can do my own if I had the numbers. any one know?? ....jh

The last time I had bumpers straightened and re-chromed was in the mid 1980's at a place in Orlando called "Florida Bumper". The bumper shop had molds of bumpers and they would press the bent bumper between top and bottom halves of the mold and straighten the bumper back to its original curves.
If you can find a bumper shop that has been around for fifty years they probably still have their old molds.

I saw the way Art Brass does it. They have a very large hammer press and someone that knows how to use it. Doing it with hand tools would be very time consuming and back breaking work.
