Anyone ever replace the tack strips on their convertible frame?

I'm doing just that. I purchased the tach strip from Ecklers. The original was stapled on, along with maybe adhesive? Anyone here with advice on how to proceed and what to use? Thanks in advance, Barry

I know most upholstery shops have the stapler needed for this sort of thing. We've had a couple convertibles move through these pages, but since most of us are up in Seattle, there's not many that survived well up here. If you find a resolution, be sure to let us know what you find.
