    Rear End -- 8" or 9"

My 1963 Falcon originally contained a 260 cu inch and has an original (3.25 geared) rear axle. Would that be an 8 inch or 9" ford rear differential?

Any info on the stock axel would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Neal,

An 8" on all V8 Falcons (except 70 1/2 Torino bodied ones with 351 and 429's and the really rare 1965 Canadian 271HP cars)

Pretty desirable rear end you have. 3.25 is not real common and the 63 is narrower than the others. If the tag is still on one of the carrier nuts you can decipher if it's the original one.
