We drove The Wonder Falcon on a 200-mile round trip from Tampa to Silver Springs today. In the 1950's and 1960's the glass bottom boats at Silver Springs were a huge tourist attraction. Attendance declined, though, and the State bought it and turned it into a state park.

We drove up Highway 301 that parallels Interstate 75 and I pulled over and took this picture at an old souvenir stand that has seen better days. Evidently, 301 used to be the tourist route prior to the interstate.
