    v8 exhuast manifolds needed

Needed a set of 63.5 to 65 260/289 exhaust manifolds.

I grabbed a pair of 302 manifolds off a truck but they wont clear the spark plugs.

So if anyone has a set of falcon, fairlane, or mustang manifolds please let me know.

Ill even consider headers if they will fit a 63.5 falcon and clear a zbar..

Find a set of V8 Maverick manifolds. They are similar to the old Mustang Hi-Po units but will fit a V8 Falcon. There were Falcon specific Hi-Po manifolds but are very rare.

Standard V8 Falcon manifolds will be designed for single exhaust with a crossover pipe under the oil pan. I'm not sure whether you want single or dual exhaust.

You could also go with the Hedman shorty headers. Part number 88400 if I recall. They have the standard ones in black or coated and the Elite version. They are supposed to be a bolt on for V8 Falcons. Most people don't have issues. I had to do some custom work on my left side header to get it to clear the steering box.

    Thanks Patrick,

I can't find a v8 maverick/comet to save my life. Except for a neighbor that might get upset if I borrowed their exhuast manifolds.

I passed on a set of 65 manifolds six months prior to me needing them. Doh!

I'll keep searching my local yards but I'll probably end up buying headers. Gulp.

I have the Doug's Tri-Y units on my car and they clear the z-bar fine (though you do need to be double-jointed to install the z-bar). I believe the units sold by Pertronix are the same units. I did have to raise the engine a bit as the header contacted the steering box.
