    weather stripping

I was excited to see some weather stripping arrive in the mail today. Until I tried to install it and it does not fit. Grrr. Some of the clips are just slightly off with the holes in the door. I wanted to get these buggers installed before it rains. "They are reproductions," the company tells me. "They may be slightly off." REALLY? Now to try and customize the stripping so it fits, without destroying anything.

Well just a thought , the new weather stripping should last a good 20-30 years I would redrill holes to match and use a good weather stripping adhesive with it assuming the footprint of the weather stripping fits the door. If the footprint isn't right send it back and get another vendor.
