    Radiator Drain Cock

Most radiator drain cocks screw IN to open them up.

When I installed my new heater core, I tried to drain my radiator by turning mine IN... but no coolant came out. Then I remembered...
    Mine turns OUT to open.

    I stripped the [----] threads!

I need to get the drain cock replaced on my radiator. Is there any trick to this, or do I need to take it to a radiator shop? If so, does anyone know of a good radiator shop in the south Everett area? (I'll need to take it in on a lunch hour.)

Most are just a removable unit threaded into a 1/4" pipe thread hole in the radiator. Yours must be different. A picture's worth a thousand words.

Any rad shop would be able to do it if it's something custom. Sorry, but I don't know of any.
