    Painted visors with vinyl paint

The sun visors on 1963 convertible and hardtop Falcons are thick and seem to be made of vinyl-dipped rubber. Mine were stained and blotchy. I scrubbed them with everything from detergent to whitewall bleach but could not remove the stains.

Then I read about the following: "Restore or customize your interior vinyl seats, dash boards, door panels, shifter boots and consoles with Dupli-Color® Vinyl & Fabric Coating. Formulated with a maximum adhesion promoter so there's no need for primer, Dupli-Color Vinyl & Fabric Coating won't crack, peel or chip."
    See: http://www.duplicolor.com/products/vinylFabricCoating/

The original visors were a yellowish antique white. The closest color in the vinyl paint was "desert sand". I bought some at an auto parts store and sprayed the visors today. The paint went on smoothly without any runs and covered the stains nicely.
