    Weber conversion

    Hello ,
    My name is Fred and I live in France .
    I have 66 mustang with 200 ci engine .
    I changed my 1940 Holley for 32/36 weber , I have some problems for to find correct jets for my engine .
    I look on classic inline forum but I don't know what it's a good jets for my engine.
    My engine is stock , I only have DSII distributor .

    Fred, Your English is fine.

    What is it doing now? Running rich or running lean? Do you know what jets you have now? You can probably get the correct jets, once you know what you have and the direction you need to go, by contacting someone at:

    Bienvenue!

    It's been awhile since I've worked on my Weber but these are the last notes I can find. I'm not positive but I THINK these are what I'm currently running. It's been running really good. I had a broadband O2 sensor on and the air/fuel ratio was good with a lean spot if I punch the gas really hard but it recovers quickly. I'm running headers and have done a lot of porting and polishing on the cylinder head.

    Weber 32/36 DGV 2bbl w/manual choke

    Data Tag: WEBER 72HF KB B 3F 6

    Stamped in base: 32/36 DGAV03B 12188

    Stovebolt 2bbl to 1bbl adapter

    Primary Jets: Idle = 75, Main = 165, Air Corrector = 185
    Secondary Jets: Idle = 65, Main = 160, Air Corrector = 175
    Dual outlet accelerator pump jet = 55
    Emulsioning tubes = F50

    Hello ,
    Thanks for your answer.
    I think I have DFEV carb , it come from langdon stovebolt .

    There is no text on it only "Ford remanufactured".
    I'm looking today what jets they have on it for to compare them with those of Redfalken.
    My car accelerates well to 50mph but afler there are some jolts (?) and after it don't run well .

    This is my jets :
    idle : 70 primary et 60 secondary
    main jet : 165 primary et 160 secondary
    Air corrector : 180 primary et 170 secondary

    Those are pretty close. If you have a stock cast iron manifold and unmodified head they should probably work.

    If you haven't already, you should go through the set up and adjustment first before you try to judge the jets. Here's a very good link with step by step instructions. I used it to set up my Weber.

    Also, it may not matter when cruising, but I've read in other forums that the proper orientation for the carb is to have the fuel bowl and inlet facing the front of the car. It's been said the carb may experience fuel starvation when taking a long or sharp turn.

    Here's a few older photos of my setup. I made a steel plate adapter to go under the Stovebolt adapter that turned the carb 90 degrees from your carb's orientation. I've always ran it like the so I can't say if it matters or not.

    Thanks redfalken for your information .
    I find another information for my carb , I have :
    Dual outlet accelerator pump jet = 50 ( it have only one hole , I don't know if it's good ? )
    Emulsion tube primary : 16 holes , it's write on the bottom "16"
    Emulsion tube secondary : 12 holes , It's write on the bottom "50" or "05"
