    Front Disc Kits

Who used what and what looks to be the best?? I am looking for disc's for the front of the delivery. Should I buy a kit, or go the scarebird way?? Probably keeping them manual for now and drums on the rear.
I am not afraid to spend the money for a complete kit but if they are just putting together the same kit as scarebird, I can do that part myself?? Thanks guys.

I already had 5-lug so - I used the SSBC A120-D kit from JEGS for $917.99 With the 4-piston calipers I have more than enough stopping power. I left the rears as drums for now.

Minimun Wheel Size: 14'' Rotor Size: 11''Ford Kits Include: All new 4-piston calipers with stainless steel pistons, bleeder screws and stainless steel tubes. Original style cast brackets, reproduction original splash shields, Timken bearings, new one piece heavy duty rotors, stainless steel pad, retaining hardware, and all the correct hardware for bolt-on installation to your V-8 spindle. Fits original equipment with 14'' wheels or larger.

The kit was all inclusive and complete. Took me and a buddy about 5 hours from start to finish to do everything but the dual master cylinder. The only issue I had was the existing brake lines and distribution block which were already on the car and rusted/cross threaded. We ended up doing the dual master cylinder on another day.

I have Granada 11" disks up front now. I will be installing Wilwood soon to match the rear. My old Granada setup will be available if interested.

These are for the big pin Mustang spindles. They also make them for earlier Mustangs and many other cars as long as you use V8 steering parts.

The Scarbird stuff is great for the L6 crowd.

    The Scarebird Installation

The Scarebird installation on my '63 was featured in the Falcon Flyer (the club newsletter) a while back:

(I think this is actually the last newsletter posted in the Newsletter link.)

Roger also started a thread that followed the installation, including refinements that he did to his own (Volvo splash guards):

And Scarebird does have a V8 swap too. Gary and I did the 6 cyl. swap only.
