BCC All Ford (All Makes) Car Show

Hey all, sorry for the late notice, but I hope a few of you can make it this weekend to the Bellevue College for the car show. We try to make it a club event yearly and it is this Sunday morning. We meet up at the Factoria Burger King at between 8-8:30 (heading out shortly after) to caravan to the show. Some years it's been a long line of Falcons!

I hope you can make it!

Well, I had plans to attend but discovered my passenger side door latch has broken and won't latch closed. The star shaped gear on the door half just spins. I had set aside enough time today to give it a much needed bath. Tearing the door apart to wrangle out that latch just isn't going to happen. Let alone figure out what's wrong and get it all back together again. And I don't really want to drive all the way to Bellevue with a bungee cord holding things together.

Plus I still need to repair my headlight harness that burned up a few weeks ago and make sure nothing else got damaged. It's always something with these old cars!

The little ratcheting pawl that engages that gear has need of some lube. Would be nice if there was a little hole where you could insert a spray lube tube in and dowse that thing when this happens.

I know it's not working now, but I doubt it is more than this. Just a pain to deal with. A few raps of a hammer in the middle of the gear would probably get it to latch again... until next the next time you push the button.

BCC All Ford (All Makes) Car

So much for making the show. Got the car all cleaned, Carol and I filled it with gas. Took it on the freeway for a couple of miles. Stopped by her mothers for awhile and on the way home, something let go in the engine. Definitely not a good sound and I will start pulling valve covers tomorrow.
Just hope I didn't hurt anything bad. Poopers. Have fun you guys. Larry

Poopers indeed! Sorry to hear this Larry. Let us know what gave-way.

I guess it might be the smallest group of Falcons this year.

    Unhappy

The only Falcons at BCC this year was 2 Rancheros. Pitiful! The disappointed guy at the gate even asked me where the rest of our caravan was.

BCC All Ford (All Makes) Car

Well, as we know stuff happens. I know I wanted to go, but?? Crap breaks. Just hope I can make it to the Maltby show. That is my favorite of the year. That show is much better than the BCC show, so maybe we can get a lot of us at that one. Larry

It was by-far the smallest turnout for this show of any I've been to. Not sure why, but still saw some very unique cars and trucks. Alas, I took not one picture.
