    Rear end options?

Has anyone swap an 8.8" rear axle into a Falcon? I am looking at this or a nine inch. All I am concerned with is the width. The rest is all custom fab work, ie 4 link with air bags. I think if I measured correctly I need 58" WMS to WMS. I know a 9" from a early Bronco will work but they are priced like gold. So I was thinking a rear from a exploder?? Thanks for the help guys. What year car? The 60-63 Falcon/Ranchero used a 56" wheel to wheel spacing. You can cut that down to 55" and still use the factory leaf springs. That is what I did.

There is a local chassis shop that can cut down a housing for you. Maybe Kenny can fill us in on who he used.

You'll probably need to do some welding anyway if your doing a four link.

Here is a Falcon 4 link kit. Someone on FordMuscle.com installed one. It looks good.

Here's the place I used to narrow my housing:

    Ron Pircey Race Cars
    253-815-0652
    37205 Pacific Hwy S
    Federal Way

Did a good job, it was done on time, cost $150, and he seemed like a nice guy.

Nice setup. I like the kit and the price. I wonder if I can get it without coil-overs and run the air bags I want?? Thanks for the link. Steve
