    2-speed automatic

I´m doing a low budget renovation on my 62 wagon, and I just wonder if I can do someting myself to check that my 2-speed automatic is ok?

    thanks

How far are you going to go with the renovation? If you're leaving everything mounted, probably just put in a new filter, change the fluid but first check to see if the old fluid is black and smells burnt. That might indicate the clutches need replaced. Also check the old fluid for bits of metal or clutch material.

If you want to do a rebuild there are kits for about $200 on eBay. If you're not going to rebuild you might want to consider a new torque convertor. But I'm no expert on the Ford-o so you may want to ask around.

    Hope that helps!
