    C4 and gear selector

One thing I noticed when driving my Falcon (has the C4 Cruise-o-matic) last Saturday was the gear selector indicator behind the steering wheel does not line up with the R, D or green dot D. It almost falls between them. At one point I thought I was in the right gear (green dot D) but was stuck in low and had to stop to shift back up to the right indicator.

I read somewhere that this could be a worn out shift tube selector arm at the bottom of the steering column (a little arm sticking out of the column that the transmission connecting arm attaches to).

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, is that a replacement part for that arm on the steering column available.

You can have sloppy bushing down below, but you also have a plate in the upper part of the column that the shift lever follows to place the lever in the correct location. Probably both may need attention.
