How many liters of oil can I put in my 2-speed automatic?

    Thanks

when I did the transmission pan gasket change along with the vacuum modulator.. it took three quarts of type F transmission fluid..

Those two speeds don't seem to hold much

    Ford-o-matic Refill

My shop manual tells me the capacity is "Approx 6-1/2 quarts". The refill procedure (with empty torque converter) is to add 5 quarts, run the engine at idle for two minutes, add another quart, shift the tranny through all positions, return to park, check fluid and add as necessary.

If you're just servicing the trans (not emptying the torque converter), the manual says to add one quart after the pan is back on, idle two minutes, add another quart, shift the tranny through all positions, return to park, check fluid and add as necessary.
