    Machine shop

    Hello one and all,
I am looking to get my straight six's (170) head worked. I also have a 260 and a 302 I will eventually need to get worked and machined. Does anyone now and recommend a machine shop here in Puget Sound? I live in Kitsap but I realize I will probably be hauling engine parts to someplace like Tacoma, Olympia or Seattle for a good shop to work on my project. Any and all help and advice is appreciated.
    Thanks for your time,
    Hugh.

    Hi Hugh,

I recently had some work done to the head on my 200 six and used Hill Machine Headworks in the Ballard/Fremont area. They do lots of heads as you can tell by the name! Was very pleased with their work. I've also heard that the machine shop in the Action Auto Parts on Aurora Ave. does good work.

I can echo the Action Machine endorsement. I've been using them exclusively for 30 some-odd years. Rob is the main man there and is ultra knowledgeable.
