    63 Ranchero Deluxe

I recently obtained a 1963 Ranchero Deluxe which has some issues with rust in the rear quarter panels and floor pan under the bed but otherwise is a very complete truck and drivable. The previous owner had the truck since 1973. Currently am replacing the complete brake system for safety and drivability. The 170 cu in six and three speed transmission appear to be in good shape.

I live in Eastern Washington so was very interested in your site. Hope their are other Rancheros around, I don't see them too often here.

As long as you are replacing the entire brake system for safety, I recommend installing a Dual Master Cylinder. I think there are good instructions elsewhere on this site. Many of us have done it. It is a straight-forward, inexpensive upgrade and a wonderful insurance package. I'll tell you my brake failure saga over a beer someday.
