Looking to get rid of a 1963 260 V8 it was rebuilt about 11 years ago and had around 500 miles on it it's sitting on a engine stand taking up room in the garage. Also have a 2 speed fordomatic that was also rebuilt around same time and has new torque converter also I have a 63 T-10 with the narrow bolt pattern give me a shout if anyone needs these items

    Hi,
Do you know if the tranny would fit a 62 Comet? How much do you want for it?

I'm not sure if it will fit in a Comet but I'm pretty sure it should fit any one know this for sure?

I think the Mercury lined used a "Cruise-o-Matic" evolved from the Ford-o but is maybe a little more beefy.

Sorry, I'm not positive they interchange but I'm thinking they would. You would probably start by measuring the bolt pattern on the bellhousing and see if it matches up to your block.

    V8 verses I6

Don't think the auto will work.

Now the t10 four speed would work with the correct bell housing.

Not sure what would be needed to keep it column shifted though.
