Thread: My Falcon won a ribbon!

    My Falcon won a ribbon!

The big event every year for my local club, "The Suncoast Falcons", is to attend the Lake Mirror Classic car show. It's a big event and " attracts over 35,000 spectators and draws top car collectors from all over the southeast."
    See: http://www.lakemirrorclassic.com/

We had five Falcons in attendance in the "Open Car Show" area. The cars there are not judged, "but sponsors carefully choose their favorite vehicles to receive a coveted Lake Mirror Classic Ribbon".

My wife and I went and looked at the other cars and had dinner. By the time we got back the show was over and almost everyone had left. There was something hanging on my car and I wondered "What the heck is that?" My Falcon has won a ribbon! It says "Sponsor's Choice Award Presented by Hall Communications". Cool!

We passed through the historic section of Plant City on the way back to Tampa.

    It was a fun event.

Congratulations Dennis. Now you will have to start a trophy shelf. The other Falcons in the line up look pretty nice too - nice you beat them out

Nice! Looks like you had a beautiful day too. I hope I get a ribbon or two some day. That would be icing on the cake.

    Dennis,

Did you show up after all the other cars were gone? Looks like your car may have been the only car with its nose sticking out into the street!

That would have been a great surprise for anyone. Good for you! It is a sweat looking car. Looks like you are in good company over there as well.

Don... I don't think you have anything to worry about trophy-wise. People are going to drop their jaws when they see that car.

Cool! Someone posted a video of "The Suncoast Falcons" at the Lake Mirror Classic car show on YouTube.

My wife and I also drove in a "Road Rally" as part of the event. We took a wrong turn and didn't win but it was fun.

See if you can spot The Wonder Falcon among the bold contenders:
