Gas Tank Armor

I was talking to Kenny and Pat at the last meeting about my fear of gas tank rupture in my Convertable. They mentioned the "Tank Armor" product made for the Mustang. I understand there would be a few mods required to accomodate the different filler location.

Has any one has experience installing one of these kits?

If it';s as good as advertised, I don't mind spending the $300 including shipping.

Does anyone know of one designed for the Falcon that wouldn't require modification out of the box?

Is it a waste of effort and money when all is said and done, the filler hose is still 100% exposed to the trunk?
