    Dave's Picnic

Does anyone know if/when the picnic at Dave Holzerland's in Monroe is scheduled this year (2012)?

I think I've answered my own question. I found a link that says Aug 11, 2012.

I think someone's full of it, first of all there was not 1100 cars there, and at 10.00 per car, there would be 11,000 dollars to buy burger's and ect. but it's 10.00 per person, so it was more than that, all the cooks and help are volenteers from the thursday night garage car club, My friend knows dave well and he knows he has never lost money....jh

It said 1100 people and 700 cars. Maybe he paid people to guard his collection?

It's still a heck of a bargain at $15 when lunch is included!

I agree and it is probably one of the most enjoyable car shows I've been to. Lots of very unique cars - and those are just the ones Dave has.

OK, I really need to go this year! I always say that and for some reason, something comes up.

Maybe when it gets closer to August we can organize a Falcon migration there. Maybe plan 2 or 3 stops from the south to the north that we can meet up at and cruise in together.

I think it's usually customary for the person who starts a thread to take the reigns... Will it still be fishing season??

Is it even POSSIBLE that you could be referring to me? Prime fishing season will be past for me because the water will be too warm at that time of the year, and fishing won't pick back up until well into September. Anyway, I am definitely planning to go again this year. Last year another member was kind enough to take me in his Falcon, and I really enjoyed it. I'm planning to drive my own car (of course) this year and would be happy to try to organize a group "migration" as you put it. For those that would like to see a bunch of photos of his estate and cars/airplanes/motorcycles try this link:

Try to go. The more the merrier.
