    Holiday Bowling!

    Hi, gang!

Let's plan an afternoon to get together, meet, greet and catch up! (as well as just take some time to relax during this crazy-busy season...)

How does some bowling sound? There is a good alley near me in West Seattle and weekends in December are pretty open as far as lane reservations.

What do folks think of Sunday, the 8th OR Sunday the 15th?

Please respond soon so I can get an idea of head count and day preference!

Thank you so much! Looking forward to seeing everyone!

    J

Well I'am not sure how relaxing a drive to west seattle would be just before christmas or any other time for that matter, how about ballard or the north end somewhere? would that work ?...jh

Not many alleys left, none in Ballard. I'd say W. Seattle is a good spot but I don't really know what's up north. I'd say crank up the Christmas muzak and go with the flow.

I'm in! Either date works for me.

Yes, let me know if there is a specific alley I should look into on the North end! I know that bowling alleys are sort of a dying breed in the city, but the West Seattle spot is one that I know of.

I think there is Kenmore Lanes on Bothell Way in Kenmore. I've driven by it a million times, but have never been there.

There are still many bowling alleys around Seattle. Off the top of my head there's one in Greenwood at 105th and one in Edmonds as you head to the ferry. The one in Ballard gave up the ghost a few years ago. But I'm OK with West Seattle too. It's just a hop, skip, and a jump over I-90 for anyone coming over from the east side. In fact it is almost all freeway to get there. Parking is the only thing I recall about West Seattle that was a bit of a drag.

I'm open to either day, but will verify with Lila what works best for her.

Lei Lani Lanes in Greenwood closed in 2005. You gotta get out more often!

I think since Joanna is coordinating the event we should stick with W. Seattle. It's not really a car show type event so feel free to drive your nice, modern car. We'll be inside bowling anyway.

There are 2 bowling alleys still operating in South Everett. But I agree with Kenny.

    Wow... I guess so...

I'll be on that end of town anyway, so I'm fine with WS Bowl.

So, Joanna...how about the 15th if Roger's gal says that works for her? As soon as I know the details, I will post it on our Facebook page and send out an invite.

Let's just choose the 15th. I'm sure it'll be OK. Better than the 8th, since we have something the night before to go to.

I can't believe nobody mentioned The Garage (http://garagebilliards.com).

As much as I like the location, I could stumble there and probably get Jeff out too, The garage is pricey. Parking is also a big issue in that area.
