This is a nifty item listed on e-bay. I printed a copy to keep in my glove box. The example calculation they used gets 14 mpg. That was probably a common average when this calculator was made.

Amazing some of the stuff you find on eBay. How much were they asking for it?

Remember the days when the only way to find stuff was the classifieds in the newspaper. And if you don't know what those were your too young.

I bought this new-in-the-box with instructions "Shell Economizer" mileage calculator this morning for $6.95 + Free Shipping. It has an elastic band to attach it to the sun visor. I couldn't pass it up.

Look at the guy's coat, tie, and hat in the picture. The instructions end with: "Drive 55 and stay alive."
