Has anyone had experience with installing hood pins on their Falcon. I am considering it especially since I intend to do some drag racing :3g:with the car. If you have knowledge of a good type or style to use let me know. Larry

Here is a link for some reprodutions that were used on the 1969 Mach I:

It would be almost period and correct for a Ford. I would worry about the lanyards rubbing your nice paint.

As long as you are custom, you could get some real nice flush guys like this:

I wouldn't get locking pins (with a key). If you have a "situation" the last thing you want is to be fumbling around with your keychain.

My wife said I was crazy to cut holes in the hood. But, never did say I was sane. I like the first pins but wouldn't want the cables scratching the paint. Could just use the lock clips though. Cutting holes big enough for the flush mount latches would even scare me. Thanks Jeff for the info.

Here is something not as radical but still unique. Nice colors too:

Those look like the same clips we used on the farm to hold tractor implements on.

Also, Larry, I have a NHRA book for you that Wayne (64Racer) gave me at the Bickford show. I'll bring it over sometime this week maybe... if you're around.

Jeff, those will definitely keep the hood from coming up. Not sure if I need to have pins that strong. Thanks for grabbing the NHRA book for me Roger. Give me a call when you want me to come by and pick it up or if you are bringing it by. Thanks Larry
