Not for me!! I got an email from someone who broke the ear where the exhaust manifold bolts to the head near the firewall. Anyone have a decent head that doesn't need a total rebuild?

It's her only car and, although she can walk to work, she needs it for running errands. It's a `65 and I think she said it's a 170. Don't think that should matter on the head.

If you have any leads let me know and I'll pass the word along.

Also, she lives on First Hill and wants to know if anyone knows of a good mechanic around that area.

I have one from a 62 ranchero that has a 170 but I think the head is from a 1966 200..

I'd probably change the valve stem seals ( which I can do)

question is how do I get it to you

Thanks Nathan but I think we may have found one. Gary offered the head from his "engine #1" that was getting rebuilt for his new aluminum head. She's going to make a donation to the club and I'll help with the install when I get back from a roadtrip next week.

Yeah, the head is over at Pat's house now.
It was missing the exhaust manifold, but we had two left over at Carter's place. I'm bringing one to Pat's this morning.
