Anyone able to look at it for me?
I already know its a project but if the caris decent and the price is right I could really use the help.

Give me an email if anyone lives close enough to look.
Email is rainierfalcons @ aol com

Thank you
Nathan

Nathan! You're alive. I just wrote about you (sort-of) in the newsletter. You sold two Falcons? For federal stimulus money? Obama is so creative.

So what's the scoop over there on the other side? You need to write up a little East-side progress report and send it to Kenny so we can get something in from you for the newsletter they are putting together.

Ed and Steve will be good ambassadors for you. Good luck!

Roger,
Let me see if I can carify things for you.
I sold two falcons. Both around thanksgiving.
The 62 wagon went to socal.
The 62 ranchero went to colorado.
I made zero $$ not that I'm into falcons for money, but loosing money wasn't cool.
The stimulas money from the goverment was in the form of tax return.
We on the east side are on our winter hiatus. Hoping to get things going in march possibly april.
Unfortunately I like to shop craigslist for those hard to find gifts for that loved one. Which usually gets me in trouble. Like this 64 hardtop I found. My wife wants one. The price is right. It looks good in photos but is a little bit more of a project than I need. If I were smart i'd spend the money on the sprint.

But I'm anything but smart, I must save every falcon that I can afford and like.

So if ed and doghows want to look at a falcon for me and. Give me a thumbs up or down I,d appriciate it.

Fat Smitty's was closed the last couple of times I've been down there on a
Saturday?! I hope that's not a bad sign - those are some of the best suicide by cholesterol burgers in the state. Either Saturday or Sunday work for me -
you have a preference? I could show you the beautiful hinges installed on
my blue car.

I'll call Deuce or AJ today about the transmission - I ran into AJ at the
Shell station in Georgetown the other night, but I didn't think to ask him
what type of transmission that 6 cyl Falcon they're working on has.

Let me check with my buddy; we were toying with the idea of going to the swap meet in puyallup. I would much rather go and spend someone else money than my own.. Maybe I should make a dya of it and bring that engine to you and go to the welding shop and then go look at a car???
I will let you know. Steve

Ok; so I think this Saturday would work best for me. Ed drop me a pm and I would be glad to haul the engine over to you. I need to go the welding shop anyway. If you want and all is good we can go look at the car from there. Let me know if this works for everyone and we will get that done too... Steve

Thank you for looking at the car for me guys.

Its a project but what I'm hoping for is a solid body.
So keep an eye out for rusty areas, bubbling under paint, How are the floors, Is the trans tunnel cut to heck?etc.. floors are supposed to be patched.
The interior is supposed to hodge podge, if I pick this car up I'll be looking for bucket seats.
Its got disc brakes on the front with power brakes. (I'm Thinking geo)
Wondering if the suspension and steering is all cobbeled together. Etc.

Most importantly I value your opinions.
After you view the car and have time to discuss its pros and cons I'll ask what would you two pay for a car like that (if you guys were looking for a car)? Then explain why you suggest the $$ amount you'd offer..

I've added some pictures of what you'd be going to look at.

64 falcon futura hardtop.
was a six cylinder car automatic
was Bench seat. now has unknown buckets, maverick steering column?
not sure what the orginal color was, currently its a very light blue, looks white to me. Newer paint, new painted bumpers.
supossedly has a fresh rebuilt 302 that has never been fired, the engine has been sitting since 2009 maybe longer.
Front disc brakes, with a geo master, five lug rear end
pretty much no interior
has new headliner partially installed, new carpet and weather stripping.

reason I'm interested, my wife wants a 64 hardtop. I have a date code correct 260 that I've started rebuilding. I've added a 92 302 rods and crank to stroke a 260. The rotating assembly is done, need .040 pistons but taking my time because I dont have a car to drop the engine into.
I have access to a t10 trans from a 64 falcon if I want it. Was thinking of squirreling this car away for a rainy day:WHATTHE:

It looks good Nathan. You have to loose the painted bumpers though. That look went out in the eighties.

Chimicum is a go. We are meeting Chuck at about 9am. I will take a magnet and a camera so look for the details on Monday. Nathan if you want a phone call or maybe send some pics via camera phone let me know. We will give her the good twice over and make sure it is worth the time and effort to come get it. Report to you soon. Steve...

Cell phone # for pictures is 5095992484.
I'll be at work so phone call might not be possible. Picture mail and texts would br the best method. Otherwise I can wait till Monday for photos and opinions. I'd like your guys input on how much would you pay

Very nice body, with the exception of some really amateur welding for the transmission mounts and some unexplained cuts in the floor pan. Not much rust anywhere, top or underneath. The motor has a Carter carb and some decent parts on it, but it's been sitting with all the inlets open for some number of years. The manifold bolts are showing significant rust, and it only had assembly lube, as it was never started. You'd have to take a look in there before you lit it off.
That said, it's a good solid body. If you don't want it, someone else in the club probably will.

Ed & steve
Thank you for taking the time for looking at the car.
It sounds like a great project for someone.
But the wife put the kabash on buying another car.
So its free for the taking, I only ask for a modest finders fee[thumb]
I know a year from now I'll be kicking my behind for not picking this car up, but I can't spend the money with out the ok from the boss.
Sounds like you and steve both liked the car except a few oddities that it had.

Thank you guys for the effort,
Nathan
