It's been 4 years since we had a meeting down at Golden Gardens. Hard to believe! At the last meeting we decided to revive it and I volunteered to coordinate things.

Since all our meetings through the winter months don't allow much daylight afterwards to kick tires and discuss car projects, this meet and greet is strictly for car talk. Hopefully the weather will coordinate and the sun will shine. In 2007 we held it on March 10. If I recall it was a little chilly with a few sprinkles.

This years "Golden Gardens Meet & Greet" will be on Sat., April 21 at 10:00. Bring a Thermos or mug with something warm to drink. Around noon, those who want to will drive over to the Ballard Locks for lunch. If the weather's nice I propose we check out the newly restored Red Mill Burger which used to be Totem House Seafood. There are picnic tables outside for larger groups. They did a very nice job bringing a classic structure back to life. And they make a pretty mean burger & fries and have lots of great shake flavors. There are 3 Red Mill burgers and this one serves fish & chips to honor the Totem House.

If it's really cold or (let's hope not) rainy, we could go across the street to the Lockspot Cafe. It has a few big tables and good food.

So bring your Falcon if you can or if it's not road ready yet, come down and meet some fellow Falcon fanatics. Hope to see you there!

Count me in. Hope to drive the Ranchero. The Weather Channel is currently saying 20% precip.

Clear skies here and it looks like it will stay that way and get into the mid-60s! A perfect day for those of you who don't like to get your birds wet. Hope to see you there!!

Great day for a get together. Here's a pic of the six cars that made it. I vote for Kenny to be our official WEATHER CONTROLLER for any upcoming outing. Also a pic of our lunch afterward.

I had a great time! But the first three dates I picked in years past were not so sunny if I recall! Maybe next year we'll try a Sunday so I don't have to rush home and clean the car after work Friday.

Thanks for the photos. I'll download mine later. Gene - Could you send me a copy of the lunch shot for the newsletter? To my email when you get a chance.

Thanks everyone for showing up. We had a great turnout and the weather really was a nice break from the rest of the week.

It was a pretty nice day for a little meet. Lot's of lookie-lou's stopping by and asking questions too. Good to see a couple of you who we haven't seen for a while.

Jim, yes the dues are $20 for the local chapter. Are you current with the national club? That's also a requirement.

I took quite a few more pictures at the Golden Gardens Meet. Was wondering if I can create a thread for this meet in the Gallery. I didn't see how to do it.

Up on the top bar, click on "Community" and go to "Pictures & Albums". You'll see an album that Brian created. Over on the right there's a link that says "Create new album." It's not very obvious.
