It looks like I will need to replace the 302 in my 64 ranchero. There is a knock coming from the front of the engine that originally was assumed to be a fuel pump issue but it looks like the crank end play is excessive. Engine only has about 40K miles but.....appears to be toast.
I'm looking at craigslist and a couple of rebuilders for a replacement but thought I would post here....just in case you folks know of a solid replacement.
I don't need a hot rod engine but do need something that is very solid and hopefully won't break the bank.
