Trunk HInges

Has anyone ever seen or installed aftermarket trunk hinges. I would like to get something different to eliminate the rods (see picture) going across the trunk of my 64. Larry

Keep the hinges. You will probably not be able to come up with anything that works and fits as well as stock.

You could remove the torsion rods and use one or two gas strut rods instead. You could even be really fancy and use electric actuators.
