Who out there in the land of Falcon has replaced the Idler arm bushing?

I purchased one from Hagens, auto parts in Pyallup. I thought I would compress it into the Idler arm bad idea.

If any one has completed this task successfuly let me know. I have a feeling you are supposed to increase the size of the bore?

All laughing will be taken as it should be, Thanks Paully

You may be able to do the press by just freezing the bushing.
Otherwise you can probably heat the arm up sufficiently wit a hand torch.
You could always remove the arm, throw it in the oven a about 350 and the bushing in the freezer and then pop the two together.

Do not let you friends who are comming to dinner see this, they will wig out.

Later;)

I had an attack of the DA, wrong bushing to start with. The correct bushing installs as it should, firmly without crushing. Thank you for the hot and cold advice, it is appriciated. Also washing engine parts in the dishwasher freaks out the guest's to. More Later, Paully
