Yesterday was spent finishing up the EDIS8 ignition system. Most of that time was fabricating the VR sensor bracket and 36-1 toothed wheel and waiting for paint to dry.

I made the final wire connections, connected the battery, and turned the key.Nothing. Hmmm. I tried again and again. Thinking it is now flooded I enabled flood clear mode (throttle pedal greater that 75% open disables fuel when cranking). Suddenly it started but ran poorly and had a strange whistle. I looked under the hood and pull the air cleaner. Oops, I had forgotten to remove some tape I used to keep debris out of the throttle body. The tape was pulled and the engine started right up. I made some minor adjustments to the tuning to align the actual timing reported by the timing light to what the computer was reporting. It was just three degrees off.

I sat in the car and tweaked the timing map a bit to get the throttle response nice and snappy. This stuff is cool.

I spent much of last night bundling up the new wire harness. I don't have any photos of that yet.

Here are a few photos.
