1965 Ranchero

When accelerating hard the tach at about 3 3 and a half thousand rpm you feel the whole car lug and the tach goes on the fritz. what do i do to fix this?

Also I was wondering if anyone knew some full length headers that fit on a 1965 ranchero with a 4.7L 289 and a t10 borgwarner.

    Mine are Doug's. They were a pretty good fit. Only rubbed on the steering box, which was cured by raising that side of the engine a 1/4" or so by putting a spacer on top of the L motor mount. It now sits at a slight angle, but I intend on raising the Pass side a similar amount "sometime in the near future". Make for some real limber joints to get the Z-bar back in. Fortunately one of my GREAT helpers did that for me.
